IFEZ exceeds investment target for 2023

Despite the obstacles posed by recent world crisis, IFEZ announced that the declared FDI for this year reached $428 million, surpassing the $400 million goal by an impressive 107%.

Notable contribution to this success include FDI declarations from companies such as Lotte Biologics, Satorius Korea Operations, Inspire Integrated Resort, and achievements like the contract for BMW Korea’s automotive testing center construction and development of it’s Auto body electronic system.

IFEZ actively sought to bring investors to Golden Harbor

The IFEZ recently sealed a deal to purchase two plots(Cs8, Cs9) at Golden Harbor from Incheon Port Authority

This move marks a significant stride in transforming Golden Harbor into a premier tourist destination.

Golden Harbor, with its prime location facing the Incheon Bridge and boasting international passenger and cruise terminals, is set to become a central attraction in Songdo.

This strategic acquisition aligns with the authority’s commitment to elevate Golden Harbor as a landmark and boost tourism in Songdo.

The IFEZ launches

the “Jemulpo Free Economic Zone” Project

  🚀Project Highlights:

    The initiative covers free economic zone designation, development plans, landscape        assessments, and economic viability studies.

    Discussions include strategies like closing port functions, relocating existing industrial      facilities, and assessing the preservation of large new logistics facilities.

  📅Timeline:

    By May 2026, an estimated 6.06 ㎢ will be transformed into a thriving free economic   

    zone, contributing to balanced urban development and increased city competitiveness.

  📅Next Steps: Incheon plans to submit the zone designation application to the Ministry

     of Trade, Industry, and Energy in the latter half of 2025.
